\’Viveka Mandira\’ is a work suggested by Swami Vivekananda in which he called on his disciples to establish a center in every village which will disseminate spiritual and secular knowledge. One such project was taken up by SVRIM in Chindegowdana Koppalu, a village in Mandya District  with the support of local villagers. The foundation stone was laid by Rev. Swami Tyagarajanandaji in October 2010. It was inaugurated by most Rev. Swami Muktidanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysore on 12th January 2014.
12th January is celebrated across India as the \’Youth Day\’ in honor of Swami Vivekananda and it was apt that the project was inaugurated on this blessed day. This project was started 3 years back but faced obstacles at various stages due to financial constraints. But with the help of supporters and well wishers, we were able to complete the project this time.
Swami Teerthakaranandaji accompanied Swami Muktidanandaji for the inauguration. The Swamijis were given a traditional welcome by the villagers and were taken to the project site by a procession. Puja was performed in two temples of the Village before the Swamijis proceeded for the inauguration. Swami Muktidandandaji performed the Puja of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and dedicated the project for the villagers. In his talk Swamiji called on the villagers to make the Chindegowdana Koppalu village, an ideal village for the country. He shared many insights and called on the villagers to make good use of the project. Later Swamiji felicitated the local volunteers for their involvement and contribution for the project. Food was organized for all the attendees and Sweets were sent to every house in the village.
Naveena C K, the Managing Trustee of SVIRM shared his experience about the project and gave a brief overview of the idea behind the project.
