National Youth Day Celebrated

More than one thousand students took part in the National Youth Day program organised by Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement(SVIRM) on 16th January 2023 in Arakere.  The students took part in a long procession and were then guided to mould their lives in a higher direction. A puppet show on Swami Vivekananda was also organised to introduce the students to new ideas. Swami Aghaharanandaji from Ramakrishna Math gave clear and well defined instructions on personality development. Grocery Kits distributed

Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement distributed 100 grocery kit costing ₹825 each to the needy people in T Narasipura Taluk. Our volunteers personally identified the beneficiaries and supplied the grocery kits at their door step. The grocery kit included Puffed rice, Cooking Oil, Coconut Oil, Sugar, Salt, Rava, Wheat Flour, Spices, Dal, Toothpaste, Brush, and Biscuits.

Safety kit donated to 253 ASHA Workers

SVIRM distributed a Safety Kit consisting of a pair of Reusable Rubber glouses, one Reusable 3 Layered Mask and a Face Shield with 3 extra replaceable sheets to 253 ASHA Workers in T Narasipura Taluk.  The safety kit will equip the ASHA Workers better by providing them considerable protection while dealing with the COVID patients.

Pulse Oximeters and sanitizers donated

Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement (SVIRM) donated 30 pulse oximeters and 108 sanitizer bottles the Asha Workers working as COVID Warriors on the ground in T Narasipura Taluk. These Oximeters will be used by the Asha workers to test the Oxygen levels of the COVID affected patients at their doorstep.

Medicine Distribution

Continuing our COVID Relief Work through Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement(SVIRM) we handed over medicine worth ₹16,000 to MALIYUR COVID CARE CENTER, Bannur Hobli. We extend our sincere thanks to the donors who voluntarily came forward to sponsor the medicine.

Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement donated 20 Pulse Oximeters and 52 sanitizer bottles to 52 Asha Workers of Bannur Hobli and Bannur Municipal. These Asha workers cover 10 Graam Panchayats. In addition, medicines worth ₹28,900/- was given to Bannur CHC for COVID treatment.

National Youth Day 2020

SVIRM celebrated the National Youth Day in Arakere, Mandya District.  Swami Muktidananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru presided over the function and gave valuable advice to the student community. About 1000 children from local and nearby institutions participated in the event.  Drawing competition, Bhagavad Gita chanting, Essay writing and Pick & Speak competitions were organized as a part of the event.  Rural children from 8 different institutions in and around Arakere participated.

Workshop for Neralekere High School Students

SVIRM conducted a two hour workshop for the High School Students of Neralekere village. The children were briefed about Career Opportunities after SSLC. The children also had a session on Chanting, and Bhajans and Personality Development. About 85 students participated. All the students were given a book and sweets. The program was coordinated by Naveena C K, Managing Trustee and Srivatasa, Trustee. Raviprakash and Krishna were present as volunteers.

Relief work in Coorg

SVIRM coordinated with Ramakrishna Math, Ponnampet in collecting and distributing Relief Materials to the people affected by heavy rain and flood in Coorg.   Water bottles, Blankets, Torches, Bleaching Powder, Rice was collected and distributed in association with Ramakrishna Saradashrama, Ponnampet who had taken up the activities on large scale.
