Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement has its genesis in the Vivekananda Youth Forum run by Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru. A group of volunteers who were a part of the Vivekananda Youth Forum used to visit nearby villages and spend time teaching the rural children. Then it appeared to us that this work has a bigger scope. In the year 2011, the volunteers registered Swami Vivekananda Indian Revival Movement as a Trust.
Our main focus area is rural children education.
FOCUS AREA OF WORK
Viveka Mandira
Swami Vivekananda wanted a center in each village to educate the villagers. We have setup one center in Chindegowdana Koppalu. Here the children are given free daily tuition and awareness programs are being conducted for the villagers periodically.
Viveka Patha
Viveka Patha is a student mentoring program. As our volunteers interact with a number of students in different schools and villages, select interested students are being mentored. Such students receive careful career counselling, academic guidance and pecuniary support.
Shiva Jnane Jeeva Seva
"Shiva Jnane Jeeva Seva" is a philosophy propounded by Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. It means to serve God in and through man. All our humanitarian works are inspired by this idea. In our humble capacity we attend to the cases of natural calamity and undertake other humanitarian works.
